Welcome

With over 32 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist and an expert in emotional and health management, I have expanded my availability to online coaching. As a physician life coach, I am able to assist you in better navigating your life through the demanding practice of medicine. Many physicians and healthcare providers are pressured by the numerous demands of both personal and professional life. It is not uncommon for physicians to feel burned out, constantly fatigued, depressed or anxious. Most healthcare providers dedicate a significant amount of time and attention to the needs of their patients, while neglecting their own needs. Together we can assess your current struggles, identify goals and barriers and allow yourself to become well balanced and motivated in your personal and professional life. I am also available to assist you in your Personal Improvement Plan. Online coaching is available through phone, Skype or HIPAA approved video teleconferencing.

About Me

I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1993, with specialization in health psychology. I completed my post-doctoral training in the interdisciplinary treatment of chronic pain. In addition to my longstanding private practice, I was the Director of Psychology at the former Pain Therapy Consultants in Connecticut, and served as a consultant to several pain management clinics throughout the United States. I am also an author and a founding partner of InterPersonalNet, an internet resource helping people to enhance their lives. As a practitioner and a mother of three adult children, I understand the time pressures and the demands of working 60-70 hours per week while trying to find balance between work and raising a family. I personally understand the struggles and the guilt that can arise from not having adequate time and energy to meet everyone's needs while avoiding burn out, depression or physical symptoms.

How am I different from Coaches that are MDs?

Most Physician Coaches are M.D.s and can be more effective than I when it comes to navigating the pressures of medical administrative issues or licensning requirements. However, as a Clinical Psychologist with over 32 years of experience, I've been able to assist physicians with the deeper, more personal issues that health care providers face. I have extensive experience with individual, couple and family issues which provides a unique perspective to understanding and creating change.
